Wine Making Co-ops

The club sponsors wine-making co-ops to facilitate the desires of the membership. There is normally a co-op that focuses on mentoring new or inexperienced wine makers. The group selects one varietal and each member makes five gallons of wine. All steps of the wine making process are done as a group with leadership provided by an experienced home wine maker. The objective of this co-op is to bottle the wine within one year.

There are several other co-ops of more experienced wine makers who join together to make larger quantities of wine and often several varietals. These groups share the decisions involved in making their wine and often share barrels for aging their wine.
